  1. Hello.

Can someone test igss.com scada with uniopc. becouse i cant get it to work.

i use opc adress MA1.MI11 and this is not working.

but i allso have moxa-opc for a modbusip and this is working without any problems. so seems like it is uniopc thats not working.

I would be very happy if someone can test this and tell me if its me that have done something wrong or if it is uniopc thats not working. seems like i cant get it to find gruops with igss and uniopc.

  2. hello

im testing igss scada with unitronics opc server connected to v570

The problem is that i cant get the igss to comunicate with the opcserver.

If i use other scada like winlog lite i can access the the data from the v570

    by usig tag MA1.MI50

but with the igss i just get that i connected to the opcserver but it does not add any communication with the v570.

with winlog i can se in the unitronics opcserver log that it add MA1.MI50

but this not happend with igss

is there anyone that can help me and test this and give me some tips or help/howto

i see that someone has made a video from how to do this with intouch. maybe someone here can do the same with iggs. i would be great.

    Hi,

I tested your application using V570 as master and V130 as slave and it works properly.

Please try using other MODBUS commands as appeared in slave addressing you posted above. (For example command 1 read coils)

It seems that command 5 does not apear in the document you posted.

You can try also changing the register addresses.

hello after some testing i got the remote to work.

but my problem is that sometimes i sb150 seems to get lost. and then i have to activate mb7 to get it to work again.

is there any solutions to work around this so sb150 not get lost?

  4. Hi,

What was the result when you were using command Read Coils #1? What is the value in status messages?

If you are still unable to communicate then You can try first communicating with the device using MODSCAN32 software (or other MODBUS master software) in order to locate if the problem comes from the PLC, wiring or the device.

You can download MODSCAN32 from win tech: http://www.win-tech.com

Then you need to connect the drive to the PC using Ethernet and set the right communication parameters in MODSCAN32 application.

Please check that the communication works properly with the PC.

    Hello Ofir

I have now testet a modbus master simulator software and the remote io is responding and working.

But when i try to test a modbus slave simulator, i get no communication from the v570.

I have tested different setup but seems like this v570 modbus master.vlp is not workig as it should.

i do not understand what it is that are wrong in my setup.

  5. Helo emil

    thanks for the replay.

i tryed to read the help files. but i cant figure this out.

i attached refrance adress for modbus.

Here are the info for the lan, port and protocal.

    it support modbus /tcp.

if you can give me an example how to get one output to work i think i can see how this work and would be very greatfull for the tips.

can you give me a tips on full setup for activte lan card, socket etc??

by the way thanks for good support.

  6. Hello all

im trying to get a remote modbus tcp io with relay output to work with v570.

what i cant understand so far is how to communicate with this device.

how do i set relay channel.

do i use force coil in the modbus ip fB and how do i connect this with the channel in the remote io.

how do i configure the v570 to talk to this device.

i have tryed 2days now and not got anything to work.

any help or example is very welcome

    the io i use is moxa-iologik e1214.

if this unit not able to speek with unitronics plc. please tell.

  7. Hello

im a newbe on modbus and remote i/o

i wont to use a moxa iologik e1214 with 6relay outputs.

i added a attachment for e1214 Modbus/TCP Default Address Mappings.

can someone here give me an example how to acivate/deactive a coil in this unit using modbus tcp.

im trying to learn this as im a new in this area and just using it to learn about plc control system.

i would be very greatfull for any example.

after reading the help file for unitronics i know that i have to init card and set ip.

but i would like to have one coil example so i can try learning this since i do not understand the setup as it is now.

  8. I had the same problem with black screen.

it seems to be the software to update the v570 that has some kind of bug. becouse i used 2hours to get my unit back to life.

i had to change computer 3 times to get the unit back to life. the other 2 computers have same setup and always give me checksum error of some kind.

i think unitronics have to work on a better solutions for firmware upgrade since upgrading this unit is a risky choice.

i allways had problem upgrade firmware and have to try many times before i success without any error.

    this unit is 2years old.

so i would like to have an answer from unitronics on this problem.

product is very good but firmware upgrade on this units is a risky bussiness.

  9. Hi Tester 2,

The logic you did is right. It's also qute simple. I hope you agree with me.

    Few small notes:

    1. First of all - you need to write one rung per net. In your case the program needs to be divided in 3 nets. There are few good reasons to do this. Please check VisiLogic Help topic "Ladder Net" for details.

    2. In your last rung, use Negative transition contact of MB0 to perform the calculation only once - when it reach the right hour - not each scan. You can find -|N|- contact in Boolena menu > Contacts.

    3. In rung 3, I'll just Store MI1 in MI4 (Store functions > Direct store). It's more elegant and will be executed faster by the controller.

    4. Usually, when you connect temperature sensor direct to relevant AI of our controller, you receive reading direct in degrees, with resoluiton of 0.1 degree. I'll recommend both Setpoint (your MI1) and setpoint difference (MI0) to be in the same resuluiton.

I hope these small tips will be useful for you!

    Hi Emil

    thanks for your feedback.

Many good tips. as allways very good support from unitronics. :-)

  10. I guess this has been asked internally, but is there any chance the old forum posts can be transferred to the new forum as a locked archive section?

    Cara

why did you import all the post with the converter importing tool. then all post will show up in this forum allso??

    i just wonder

  11. Hi Tester 2,

From your picture, I saw you found already the right way - using indirect clock (instead of direct in my example) and MI to keep the temperature instead of constant number.

Is there anything else which remains open and I can help you with?

    Hello Emil.

I have made an example of what im after.

if you can look at it and maybe come with tips to make it better/easyer.

i`m interested in see other solutions to reach the same result.

this is becouse im a newbe on this and willing to learn other soultions.

  12. Hi Tester 2,

    Let me understand:

Do you want just to set two different setpoints - with mentioned RTC change, or you want the temperature - to rise, for example from 24C at 22:00 to 28C at 8:00 and then once again to change slownly with the time.

In first case - it's very simple!

You need ot use Clock function - Hour. You need to set hours for 24C and hours for 28C. There will be two MB - one for each range. Let's say - MB0 will be active between 8:00 and 22:00, and MB1 - between 22:00 and 8:00.

With positive transition of each bit you will store the relevant setpoint to MI, which is related to temperature controller.

Described logic will take 4 very simple nets.

    hello Emil

tnx for a nice tip. i will take this with me.

im using this temperature controll to set the room temp in a house.

This is the option i want in my control.

from HMI im interested to set room temp setpoint. ie 28Celisus.

from hmi i allso whant to have an option to change the clock for when i wont to increase the temp.

Lets say i whant to set the from 22.00 to 08.00.

im allso interested to set the value in hmi let say 4celisus the temp should increase in that timeframe.

this is what i would like to have an example for.

  14. Hello.

I have asked this question before and i got some few good tips.

    What im after is follow.

I whant to set a setpoint in the hmi, let say 28celsius.

this setpoint is going to increase 4celsius to 24celisus between clock 22.00 and 08.00 evry day.

and after 08.00 it should go back up to 28celsius.

i have today manage to do this with a big ladder. but i belive this can be easyer.

Can someone give me a tip or an example how to this with MF or any other options.

    best regards

    kaare
