  1. I can't configure program for 3VFD-s on MODBUS  485 RTU protocol.  PLC comunicate only with first one. depending on what I call the first one.

I try with all three in the first place and everyone is doing this, which means that the parameters are correct in them.

I know the PLC can only communicate with one at a time but I do not know how to write it.

Further to my comment above about fundamental comms settings in your user program, remove all comms type elements from your program as a test.  Download and see what happens.

    cheers,

    :o

Everything is working normally, USB, port 1 and port 2. I am clear about why was port 1 out ( it was iniciialized for modbus protocol in my program).

    But, what was with USB?

You should be able to sonlong as the con port itself isn’t damaged in any way.   The programming cable should allow you to communicate on either port 1 or port 2 on the plc with out changing a setting on the PC just simply unplug from port 2 and plug into port 1(so long as the rs 232 com settings are the same)

    But i can't.

Protocols are not the same. Modbus on port 1 and PCOM on port 2.

o are you using the 232 port on the PLC or the USB ?

I am using USB port  on PLC and PC.

And tryed with third cable. Obviously, cable is ok.

I have twice erased all from PLC (Info mode--->Working mode--->Exit to factory boot) and reinstal all.

Strange is that connection is working normal all time   untill instalation is not finished.

I quote myself.  I don1t know how to explan this?

Hi Dub, (you've just responded to Flex as I'm finishing this!) the taskbar looks like this is Win10.  It is highly likely that windows has over-ridden your driver and replaced it with one that Microsoft thinks is better.  This can be a right PITA. See if you have a restore point you can go back to.

If that works, tell Windows to leave your drivers alone...... Control Panel/System/Advanced system settings/Hardware tab/ Device Installation Settings/click NO etc.  I'd be doing this anyway if your system is stable.

And check this setting regularly, Msoft have a habit of turning it back on without telling you.

    cheers,

    Aus

I am going 5 days back in time :)

We'll see what's going to happen.

  6. Hello!

I have similar problem with connecting laptop  to V1210 via serial. And that happend suddenly.  I was programming something all morning. downloading more time and all was working fine.

Now i get  message "communication driver error (206).

I have twice erased all from PLC (Info mode--->Working mode--->Exit to factory boot) and reinstal all.

Strange is that connection is working normal all time   untill instalation is not finished.

And over the same port (port 4 in my case).

    I reinstall even Visilogic...

And try to connect over second laptop, without luck...

I would appreciate it for every help.

  7. Hi Dub,

    Thank you for choosing Unitronics.

    Try the following:

    1. From Visilogic screen, select the Build menu-->Build All. Then download the application to the PLC.

    2. If that doesn't help, select the File menu-->System Images. Select "Restore All System Images to Default". Then download the application to the PLC.

    3. In any case, download the most recent Visilogic version (9.7.9) and update the PLC firmware to 3.9.6 (most recent). If you need guidance in doing so please let me know.

On HMI is only visible background from pictures.

I have try steps 1 and 2 but nothing change.

Then i have gone thru System upgrade wizard where its says that upgrade not needed > Advanced . All four steps finished successfully but even then everything stays the same, no pictures on HMI.

Every time i download program to hmi,  same question appear:

"The images in your project are different from the images in the PLC.
Do you want to download these images?"

If i click "yes", it starts programming the Flash and that last few minutes with no changes finally.

Few days before i was playing with V570 with no such problem.
