Day 1 - What's a PLC?
* Presentation of Unitronics products and features
* VisiLogic software introduction
* Hardware configuration working with analog and digital I/O
* Basic programming practices
* Ladder and HMI elements
* Timers and clock functions
* Custom Splash Screens
* Screen Savers
* Passwords
Day 2 - Advanced Programming Features:
* Logging capabilities including data tables and SD
* Clone files
* Built in alarms
* Creating trends
* Using the string library
* Get to know other Unitronics software such as SD Suite, Remote Operator, DataXport and more.
Day 3 - Dedicated Entirely to Communications:
* Presentation about physical layers and protocols available for use
* Serial RS232/485 programming with open ASCII protocol and MODBUS protocol
* CANbus overview of protocols supported such as UniCAN, CAN ISC, CanOpen, J1939, and Layer2
* Programming with the EX-RC1 and remote I/O
* Ethernet overview of TCP/IP, Sockets, built in Web Server, and Email functions
* Using a GSM modem with SMS functionality and GPRS
* Overview of Unitronics website and technical library features
*The three days' topics will include hands on programming examples together with the participants!

∙ When will we start?
At 9:00. I have a commitment to start ontime, so please come early to setup. Coffee will be set out at 8:00 so come early and we can talk shop!
8:00 is the time to get help with any set-up issues, or if you have asked for a loaner PLC. The session should end at about 5:00pm.
∙ How much will this cost?
Training is free but the only costs are for food and services we have already ordered, $100 per person for the 2 days- OR, $50 a day. Representatives and distributors attend free! Please send a check to us or reply with a purchase order number made out to Unitronics.
∙ What will you need?
Please be certain to bring a laptop, an Enhanced Vision Series Controller (Specifically a Vision350™ or Vision570™ or Vision560™), a 24VDC power supply, and a USB converter, we recommend KEYSPAN if you need one. (the ONLY products customers have been completely frustrated with are converters made by Belkin). If you don't have a plc just ask before you come and we'll provide one.
