Can I replace only the memory?

Because we have two equipments (motors) controlled by these two screens, now one of them is out of service due to the dead screen, these two equipments are identical in everything, thats why I wanna take the project file from the good one to the dead one or use my PC as a PLC.

Now let’s return to the dead screen, I have something in my mind but I don’t know if it’s possible or not but hear me out maybe by brainstorming we can get something out.. Now i have dead screen, good screen and a PC with remote access, my idea is this: Making my PC as a replacement for the dead screen by the means of the remote access and project file from the good screen. I managed to mirror my working V350 to my PC but as shown in the attached photo most of symbols aren’t visible! The PLC is responding fine but the symbols are missing, how can I make them visible?

Great! Now we need to know how to install the ethernet card into V350 to enable the Remote Operator application. Is the ethernet card a software thing or a hardware?

Does the Remote Access application require an ethernet card installed in V350?

So there are two ways to access the screen from another device: 1- By Unitronics Remote Operator app, and this way needs an ethernet card installed in the V350 first 2- By Remote Access application via PC, and this way needs only unitronics cables that I used previously with the damaged V350 is that right? regarding way#2, can I start/stop the equipment by the Remote Access application or is it just for viewing?

Believe me i have looked every where and this is how i found this forum. All the explanations are either too advanced or have something missing in the middle, this is why i’m looking for someone to explain it to me like I’m 5.

Let’s put this screen on a side for now and please help me with the remote access to the screen. I have another same screen installed on another equipment and this one is working perfectly, how can I access it remotely using the Unitronics Remote Operator app that can be downloaded from iPhone or android app stores?

I noticed that the cable I’m using it’s a 3-wire cable not 4-wire cable as the manual suggested! so the one i have has only 3 wires inside the cable while the manual shows a cable that has 6 wires (2 of them are optional), maybe thats why I’m having trouble making updates/transfers?

I have windows XP, i will try it. i tested the battery found it 2.7V why does this error appear when trying to update the OS? and when it asks me to manually power off and on the plc, what should i do? Because i tried to power it off and on but the boot upgrade won’t finish, and tried to leave it as is but no success! The PLC started beeping during my work on it and then the beeping was gone, this gave me a little hope.

I did this but still no success. would you or anyone here please remote access to my pc via teamviewer? either way, i really appreciate your help, all of you.

You’re right John. Now I managed to secure my connection by using prolific adapter but still the upgrade keeps stopping in step 2. I’m not sure if i have to do something on the screen itself to start the upgrade because my screen is black. I noticed the versions of binary library, PLC boot and factory boot are 0! What does that mean? please see the attached pics to help me. I don’t need the project file, i just need the plc and hmi to start as new and then i will find a way to upload the project file from another-same plc.

So we can conclude that my problem is with adapter, not with the plc being damaged? if i get a PC with a native com port i should get a secure connection? isn't there any other settings that need changing to get the connection secured? what about “ignore break”, where can i find this setting?

You mean finding a computer that allows me to connect the cable directly without an adapter? and what if I managed to complete the update, would my plc work again?
