ASCII commands

Hello,

I'm using serial communication between PC and PLC. On PC with LabView I'm trying to establish communication with VISA block. I set the parameter all according to manual and it says it's OK. But I have a problem because I don't know how to send commands. Example: I want to send command to read bit from PLC but I don't know how to set up parameters for the string. Maybe if someone has a working example it would be helpful or tips how to set up string.
