Hello!

I try to control a Linak L36 actuator with V700 (+ V100-17-CAN card) via CAN J1939.

I took the sample code from the support site https://support.unitronics.com/index.php?/selfhelp/view-article/sae-j1939-communication-protocol and modified accordingly. My problem is, that I don't see any communication (general status PGN 0x00FF00 msg) from the actuator. 

To the HW setup:

  • 2x 120 ohm terminal resistor connected
  • 24V connected to V+ and V-, PE connected
  • measured voltage between CAN H and GND around 2,63V same for CAN L 

Attached a screenshot from actuator parameters, pdf manual and the VisiLogic project. 

I would really appreciate any thought or comments.

Hi,

From the document follows, that there are 2 groups of proprietary commands,

Unitronics Vision does not support proprietary J1939 commands, only the generic standard commands.

You might be able to try to implement this using CAN Layer2 on the ladder level, this might be challenging.
