Commucation with keyence barcode scanner and V350

need help downloaded example ladder for serial comm to display input but cant get it to commucate with scanner. my comm settings for scanner are 57600,8,1,n header/footer are stx/etx

what the whole project in a nut shell is manualy scan a known good barcode, match it to all future scans, there is a trigger sensor that will start a new scan and end looking for a scan

barcode lenghts nay be up to 25 characters plus stx/etx if that info helps but will not always be the same lenght day to day.

any help would be great.

P.S. i took your class on programming but it was about two years ago and haven't really done any work with external commucation since.
