M-bus communication vs vision570

Hi

 

I want to communicate with my plc ( vision570) and a watts camical meter.
Now is my question how can i emplementate the protocol in visilogic.

I want to sell a converter from m-bus to rs232 and plug the rs232 in port 2 of the plc.

Anyone an idea of this can work and how?
And what is the max length from the m bus to the RS232 converter?

We have a FB protocol that will allow you to receive and send messages over a serial port. The message formats will have to be known and configured by the programmer but should be possible to accomplish with any third party protocol.

 

The maximum message length is 500 characters. A message may also include up to 50 variables. Please note that a single section whether text or variable may not exceed 255 characters.
