Convert Zip to ulpr

Hi,

Unilogics newbie here.

I've saved a file from  an HMI to a DOK(Usb stick). How do I view that file using the Unilogics software? If I save a file on my PC it is normally a ulpr file. Do I need to convert the zipped file to a ulpr file?

A Ulpr file stands for UniLogic Project.

If you saved a file from the HMI to a USB stick then it is not a ulpr.

What does it contain? (the zip), screenshot? trends, csv, data tables?

 

You can extract a zip file with WinZip, WinRar, 7Zip etc.

I saved the user app file (exported user application), is this not a copy of the logic and HMI files?

It is zipped but after expanding I cant see any ulpr file

OK, since it does not include the ulpr, but the compiled app.

You should download to the PLC with an "upload" option, then a ulpr could be restored (uploaded) from a PLC. The zip you have created is for cloning the PLC

But I do not have the logic that is currently on the PLC, If I download to PLC Won't I lose the file? Then what I upload is only what I downloaded??

If you download to the PLC then the PLC will lose the file (compiled project in the PLC).

If the original download did not include an "Upload", then the original project cannot be restored (The PLC only have the compiled results in that case).
