  1. Hi Ron,

I assume you are using some type of 0-10v or 4-20mA to Pressure regulator to control the brake? PID control is the norm. You will probably end up leaving the D gain 0. You'll want to come up with some sort of scheme to adjust the response as the diameter winds down.

    Hi Damian,

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes I will be using a 4 - 20mA to regulate the powder clutch brake. i am not worried about the diameter as i am using a loadcell to check the actual tension in the web. this in turn modifies the brake condition.

  2. Hi,

As per your HELP Section on TEST Bit, if I need to test bit no. 10 of ML2, then I need to enter a value of 10 in the Offset of the function. However, I find that in order to test bit no. 10 of ML2, I have to enter a value of 22. I am using a V130 on an application where I shift around 200 bits to the right & need to check any bit in the stream. Hence need to enter a variable in the Offset of TEST bit function.

Is the HELP wrong, or am I doing something wrong.

  3. Hi,

I have 3 different sensors connected on the COM2 (RS 485) of a V280. These sensors are plug in types. They send their data serially via MODBUS. These sensors are of different makes & have different FIXED Baud Rates. I have utilized 2 inputs to identify these sensors on the PLC. I need the PLC to switch automatically to these Baud Rates on Identifying the sensors. I am not able to do this. Is there any way in which this can be implemented?

    Thanks

  4. Hi,

If you wish to send the customer project which will be downloaded using SD card then follow the below steps:

    • Open the application using VisiLogic
    • Under Project menu select the option "Create project files..."
    • In the first Tab "Clone File.." if you wish to create only application file then select the .V57 option and click on create file
    • Then you need to put this file .V57 in the SD card in folder User_App. (Basically you can send the customer the SD card or send him the file and he will put it on his SD. (Make sure the customer SD card is formatted properly)
    • Now the customer can insert the card to the PLC and from Info mode --> SD --> Application -->upload to PLC

After performing the above steps the application will be loaded to the PLC.

Another option is to use the Unidownloader.

    Thanks Ofir, will try out.

  5. Hi,

Had done a project using V570, due to some reason, the program in the PLC was corrupted??? I need to send the same program on a SD card to the client. I do not have a V570 with me. I do have a few V130s. Now without a PLC, can the program be dowloaded from Visilogic or any other utility onto a SD card? If yes, then HOW?

    Kindly reply ASAP

    Ron
