Hi,

I want to implment email alerts into my program, but I have 1 major problem

When I "ping " the ip adres of my mail server, every minute, they are changing the IP adress of it. In visilogic, you have to give the ip adress of the mail server instead (like windows) give the name of it.

Maybe I need to use another mail server or is there another solution ?

There is a DNS resolver block in Visilogic, which can be run each time you want to find the server IP address from the server name. It only runs via Ethernet, so not any good if your are using GPRS. I haven't checked whether it is for all PLCs or just the Enhanced family.
