Gabriel Franco
In numeric variable, What "mask entry" is used for? A couple of suggestions for creators, regarding numeric variables: 1. An option to "group" digits for display purposes. Large numbers may be difficult to read without such option,i.e 9876543.21 displayed as 9,876,543.21 2. Option to show entry limits in keypad, so the user is aware about them.
Alexander
Hello Gabriel, The mask entry option will display all entered numeric values as asterisks. This is to hide any information the user may not want openly displayed on the HMI.
Gabriel Franco
It´s not working for my application as you described (V570, Visilogic 9.6.0). I do not notice any difference checking or unchecking this option
Alexander
Are you operating the HMI in person, or are you connecting to the unit remotely?
Gabriel Franco
I have one V570 on my desk, so doing tests directly with it.
Gabriel Franco
Alexander, I just update firmware and now mask work as you mentioned. Original: O/S 3.6 (14), BOOT 2.2 (09), BinLib 1-1.10 (01), Factory Boot 1.3 (07) New: O/S 3.8 (02), BOOT 2.2 (11), BinLib 1-1.10 (01), Factory Boot 1.3 (07)
Alexander
Gabriel, The OPLC has to have an OS that supports the project features. When using an older OS in the OPLC with a more recent project this is likely the cause as to why it was not properly displaying. I'm glad to hear that it is working now.
