Vision 230 upgrading OS with Visilogic 8.6.3

Hi,

I've tried to upgrade from OS3 on a V230 to the latest OS. The OS downloads ok but the ladder in the PLC needs to be compiled under the latest Visilogic. When I try to down load the ladder I'm getting a comms problem at the end of the down load, so it's not quite completing the download. I have reverted back to V3 of visilogic and all is fine.

Has anybody had a similar experience and found a way around the problem?

What is the PLC's serial number?How old is it?

Maybe you have very old PLC with less memory from the current V230.

Thanks for the response. The PLC's serial number is F342372, it's a V230-13-B20B.

I'm not sure how old it is. I have reverted back to using to using verion 3 of the OS for now which runs fine wih now problems.

Hi,

I had similar problem couple of years ago. I had an old V230 and problem was allready when Visilogic 5 game out. And then for me there was only one option: The highest Visilogic for this V230 is 4.7.4.
