String type Tag is missing in Email body

Hi,

 

No string type variable inside Email BODY composer, along with other elements like "binary text variable" and "list of text variables". Yes, the SUBJECT can linked to a string type Tag (or fixed text), but I think it is just obvious why it is required in the email body as well. e.g. this can be use along with message composer, or even just to send free text from HMI.

 

Any reason why is it missing?

Any workaround?

Any chance to include with next version?

_{Yes there is a workaround for including string in Email body.}

_{First you can compose a message in the message composer which support strings as well..(Raw data)}

_{Then in Ladder first activate the Build message which will place the message in a buffer.}

_{Now from the Toolbox you can find under the Buffer tools the utility "Append Buffer to User File". (Choose to create TXT file).}

_{This will create a TXT file in the external SD.}

_{Then in the Email instead composing the body of the mail, go to attachments and select the option TXT(Body.}

_{this option will take the content of TXT file you created and place in the body of the mail.}
