dan
Hi Kris9880, What type of Unitronics PLC do you have? Each PLC has an option for BootStrap mode and Stop Mode. Instructions on how to get to these modes vary between controllers. Within these modes, the program stops, and the PLC communication settings are reset. What are you attempting to do in this mode? Thanks, Dan.
kris9660
Hi, I have JZ20 T18. I have communication problems after i download a program with SI140 = -1 (STX parameter"no start of text " RS232). When I set de communication parameter on de plc to default ,and i go to BootStrap "key "i" + "7" with power up, then i have a connection with de plc. After i do an upgrade of OS (uprade wel done) and de plc restart , i have NO Connection U90 >plc. Is it possible for delete de program without pc(U90). with key combination or dipswitches ... I want a clean empty plc. Thanks, Kris

MVP 2023 Joe Tauser Posted October 14, 2016 MVP 2023 Report Share Posted October 14, 2016 Chad, Are you using a Special Function as well? Kris put the -1 in the wrong place - it goes in SI 141, not SI 140. I have no idea what happens if you put a negative number in the Special Function pointer code register SI 140. He probably made the PLC barf. Joe T.
