john cleary
hi we have 2 units that have been supplied to us that we are having fatal error issues with as per the attached. on one unit we have flashed the operating system and re downloaded the software but no change. errors are occurring intermittently but generally at least once a day. any suggestions would be appreciated. cheers
MVP 2023 Joe Tauser Posted January 23, 2018 MVP 2023 Report Share Posted January 23, 2018 This is usually caused by noise spikes in the system feeding back into the PLC. Do you have any large contactors or VFDs in the system? Joe T.
john cleary
no, there are no large contactors or VFDs in the system. units ran fine for the first 2 months, then started to fail. no changes had occurred on the site or with the program. I am leaning towards faulty hardware but am concerned that 2 units on different sites are ding the same thing
MVP 2023 Joe Tauser Posted January 23, 2018 MVP 2023 Report Share Posted January 23, 2018 The probability of two failing due to faulty hardware is quite low. The first one shows "Illegal Operand address". Is your application doing data logging or a lot of SD card writing and you've overrun a memory location somewhere? Joe T.
