AlexP Posted May 6, 2019 Report Share Posted May 6, 2019 Hi all, I am setting up a basis serial connection for future projects between my computer and a plc but keep getting the same error -1 General COM error which is not helpful at all. I have checked all my physical connections and also the communication to the port of the computer side but it seems that nothing is being transmitted through the wire. hotwires Posted May 9, 2019 Report Share Posted May 9, 2019 IF you use AVAST antivirus THEN try activating “silent mode” (disable firewall if premium version). Remember the micro USB port on Unistream is an “internal USB to Ethernet chip”. Comms are ethernet and subject to firewalls. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
