SD Cloning via Ladder

Anyone ever use this function? I think it's very useful for backing up the software and updating without having to walk through the INFO Mode menus. I prefer to lock out INFO Mode (Set SI 50 Power-Up to zero) anyway so someone doesn't accidentally end up there by holding their finger on the screen too long.

One question I have is that the Help file specifically says to use a NEGATIVE Transition to activate the function? Why do they say that? I like to set up a button that you have to press and hold for several seconds to activate the function and the best way to do that is to activate a Delay Timer with the button press  and use a POSITIVE transition of the delay timer to activate the SD function. I tried that and it works fine. So what's the deal?
