EX RC1 and can open

Can anyone tell me if you can use can open and EX RC1 on the same can bus?

if i install the EX RC1 and not the encoder it works fine and the other way if i remove the EX RC1 and install the encoder it works fine but when i install both of them nether one works

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if you can't use the same can bus for this application?

The EX-RC1 used the UniCan protocol.  The CANbus port can't run two protocols at the same time.
