Dario Schembri Posted May 3 Report Posted May 3 Hello, We are in discussion to build an automation and the client has a display (touch screen) which he wants to use. We thought of using his display and use the UniStream controller with virtual HMI. The HMI can be displayed on the display via Ethernet connection? Or it needs another type of communication for it to be displayed? If it can be connected via Ethernet, the functions remain, that is if I press a tab on the display (example production data) the PLC obeys this function? Thanks, Dario.
Gabriel Franco Posted May 3 Report Posted May 3 The customer HMI must have VNC client capabilities, then it can function as a remote display mirroring the display of the Unistream, and yes, the Unistream can be operated from the customer HMI. This option requires an Ethernet connection between both sides.
MVP 2023 Joe Tauser Posted May 3 MVP 2023 Report Posted May 3 You can use the built-in webserver as well. Just make sure you get the UniStream with the -B10 option. Joe T.
