petercolquhoun Posted September 26, 2014 Report Posted September 26, 2014 Hi, I am using a V1210 to develop a pumping control for an industrial application, today I was asked to generate some screen shots and I thought I would use the Online Test remote access feature of Visilogic to do this. Unfortunately, when I click on this I get the attached error (runtime error 3709), after I have acknowledged the error the Visilogic application immediately closes. I have produced the screen shots I need from the HMI designer but I was wondering if you had any idea as to why this error would occur? I am communicating with the controller over Ethernet for programming and debugging purposes, Visilogic version 9.7.9 Build 2, V1210 O/S version 3.9 (06) Thanks in advance. Pete
Eyal Koren Posted October 2, 2014 Report Posted October 2, 2014 Hi Peter, We suspect that this is an issue related to User Account Control settings in Windows 7/8. 1. Please make sure that UAC settings are switched to off - from the Windows start menu search for "change user account control settings". 2. If that still doesn't solve the issue, try to reinstall Visilogic with UAC turned off.
petercolquhoun Posted October 2, 2014 Author Report Posted October 2, 2014 Hi Eyal, I read up a bit prior to installing Visilogic, UAC was turned off before the install two months ago. If you have a way of getting further debug out of the exe I'm happy to help. Pete.
Eyal Koren Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 Dear Peter, Please try re installing Visilogic. Before executing the installation file, make sure to check that it is unblocked by accessing its properties (right click on the file-->properties). Then run as administrator see image below. Let me know if that solved the issue.
Saragani Posted October 14, 2014 Report Posted October 14, 2014 Peter, you can also use Remote Operator (which an improved version of Remote Access written in .Net). 1) There is a chance that you will not get an error with Remote Operator 2) Remote Operator has a built in function that creates a screen capture (to clipboard or to file)
