The trickiest part is building a stable RS-485 network. The Unitronics recommendations on the location of terminating resistors doesn't always work, as cable length can have a lot of effect on signal levels. If you connect your modules and you can't see them try turning on and off the terminator at the PLC and at the end of the run. Joe T. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
