MVP 2022 Ausman Posted March 11, 2021 MVP 2022 Report Share Posted March 11, 2021 Mostly in PLC land you need a temperature transducer to present the correct sort of electrical interface to the plc that it can work with. This picks up the minor changes from the sensor itself, and amplifies them into voltages and procedures that the plc can work with. You may have heard 0-10V, 4-20mA etc. There are exceptions to this, thermocouples stands out, but to answer your question you also need to answer "what is your temp sensor?" cheers, Aus
