  1. Hi :-)

I wanted to mention that VisiLogic is a fairly mature product. While we certainly add features, major additions are not expected. The focus of our software development is our new UniStream IDE.

    Regarding your first  two points:

    - This is not officially recommended, but you can install VisiLogic in two separate directories in order to open 2 instances of the program. While this enables you to visually compare the programs, you cannot copy & paste. The best I can offer is to export and import ladder routines and displays. (ok, it's rather lame...but it may be helpful)

    - There is a simulator offered by an independent developer in our PLC Market. Note that this is not a Unitronics product. Check it out here:

  2. I found Joe's Suggestion very interesting so i tried it with a JZ10-11-PT15, a pair of cheap drawer handles and a plastic enclosure.

Not aesthetically pleasing but very practical!

    Ok--that was a cool pic.

    What is the application?

I basically live in Unitronics HQ...I rarely venture into the real world--what sort of applications require hand-held controllers?

Mounted on moving vehicles sure...but hand-held?

  3. Hi Maurice--sounds interesting!

Webserver is on its way--but meters are already here! Check http://www.unitronics.com/support/downloads for the new version.

Unitronics does intend to add images to the library over time, but the Unitronics' Developers Market, which we recently made available, hosts apps and images created by different people from our user community. There are buttons, switches, and other images there for purchase.

I will pass on your other requests--thanks  :)
  4. Hi guys  :)

Today, as we were fueling up in the caffeine corner here in Unitronics R&D, the coding gurus asked me some questions.

I decided to summarize them and ask you here--I'd be very happy if you'd take a minute to answer:

    - what sort of applications are you using UniStream for?
    - what communication features are you using?

    - where would you like to see changes?

    Thanks  :)

  5. If you don't have the program, then hopefully you're handy.  THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT IS NOT AUTHORIZED BY UNITRONICS AND MAY VOID YOUR WARRANTY:  you can take the Machine A PLC apart and swap the CPU board into the new one.  Make sure the battery stays in place.

Yes, that's a definite method of voiding the warranty....

You guys are like the Tasmaninian devil... with a screwdriver and pliers!

  6. Hi :-)

Currently, UniLogic does not offer a built-in alarms utility. It is on our features list and will be added to Unilogic in the future.

Attached to this post is an alarms demo application which uses the Event UDFB to act as an alarms utility. You can add it to your application and edit it according to your needs.

  7. Hi Mike,

There is a Help file supplied with the UniLogic. It is still a work in progress.

Most of of the HMI widgets are documented. Some of the Ladder functions, such as Data Tables and Formula are--but I apologize because many are missing. We have given preference to Ladder functions that we feel are less intuitive.

We will continue adding to the Help file, and I do hope that in the relatively near future, a .pdf manual will also be available.
