That's good to hear--we always appreciate it when people post that they have suucessfully resolved a problem

Guys, there is lots of stuff on the way--this is a new platform.
That said--please do ask. Requests from our users has an impact on the priority we assign many tasks.
Just be aware that some features look as though they can be accomplished with little effort, while others look complicated...but are not.

Guys, I have one PC at home that runs Vista--don't get me started
Tim is exactly right regarding VisiLogic.
We believe that Vision and VisiLogic are great products that fit many requirements for many applications with a good price/performance ratio. The products will still have features added according to market requests, but they are fairly mature.
Flex, I hear you--basically, your request amounts to a re-engineering of VisiLogic so that you'd have the fast programming, tag addressing, UDFBs, etc, correct? I'll put in your request, but...well, this is a enormous task; so I dunno...

Hi :-)
OK...I just tried this on two setups here...and have no problem entering the Euro sign...no down initiates..could you give some more details?

>If you post your code I can hack an example into it with comments, circles and arrows, and a paragraph on the back.<
That might provoke a typical case of blind justice...especially if put on 27 color glossy photographs.

Joe T, I saw this while I was editing something in the VisiLogic Help file, so I added your explanation of SB 3, and requested it be added to the SB description.
Thanks--definitely makes it clearer

Hey Tim :-)
Very glad to see you are checking out the new system!
Have you checked out the HMI training video?
-
Joe--not clear on what happened here. Did the driver install? Did Network discovery take place?
At what point did the PLC go into reboot--after a download attempt?

I apologize for the time lag--but regarding development of existing products:
The Vision line is here to stay. Vision offers specific advantages and cost-effectiveness.
Many of our customers are OEMs. We value them, we understand their specific needs--and we certainly know just how much how important continuity of products is to an OEM.
We will continue to add functionality to the Vision series. Many added features will be in response to customer’s request--but not exclusively.
Since Vision is a long-standing platform, we do see it as stable and very developed, so naturally, features will be added less frequently than they will for UniStream.
Regarding hardware, note that we do intend to issue additional units for the Vision line. As mentioned, this line is bound to be with us for many more years.

Flex--you are in luck. HighTech is THE HMI guru :-)

Aww--we were shooting for the Emmy ;-P
I hope that you enjoy them!

This isn't 'training'--just a clip of a little game whipped up by our developers.
-
Yes--it's a hardware limitation.
The whole UniLogic architecture is different. Sockets are virtual--a whole different ball game...league, really

We have run field-testing hooked up to 32 devices, and everything worked just fine.
It is, as of right now, not officially limited to 32, but I would not recommend more that at this time, so if you need more, let me know.
So, that's twice 14 plus 4

Thanks Ober! I saw the great review you posted on your FB page!

We're going to need some example projects quickly.
I couldn't get it installed on WinXP SP3 but it did install ok on my Win7 machine.
Ok--to answer the first part of your post:

About your installation issue, I asked the Support gurus to contact you; if that doesn't happen, please ping me :-)

Bob, can you please tell me what is happening during the XP install? Post a capture if possible?

Hi! we've set up a Youtube channel with training videos, so let's begin with a tutorial on Hardware Configuration:
Here is a 90 second general overview of the new UniStream platform:
This is a recording of a Powerpoint presentation explaining the platform in depth:
Let the questions begin

Joe,
You mentioned CANbus is set up in tables and the addresses you want to read and write are defined in the tables. Also that the new O/S handles all the handshaking and timing. If you are to setup I/O drops with EX-RC1 modules to use existing modules, what is required in the way of software in the EX-RC1 to work with the tables in the UniStream?
We created a video about EX-RC1--but please look at the other videos in the UniLogic playlist first, or it will be a bit confusing!!!
It is also dealt with in the UniLogic Help in the topic: Remote I/Os: via EX-RC1
Welcome!
in UniLogic UDFBs

I am really curious to see what people post here!
I wanted to mention that in Unitronics UDFBs, we decided to create a class of 'Z-Operands', where the 'Z-' signifies operands that are integral to the internal working of UDFB, and should not be touched. I'd like to recommend that others do the same--makes it easier to share UDFBs.
