Thermal Printer for a V130

I went on a quest for one of these a few years ago- Google "panel mounted serial printer". There are quite a few out there and interfacing with them isn't bad. They all seem to run on 5 VDC which is kind of a pain in the butt, but you may be able to find a 24V version. Look for something that uses standard rolls you can buy at an office supply store. You can also Google "24VDC to 5V converter" - there are also plenty of those available.

Thanks for the input.

I have found an Able printer Part AP1300 which is a 24 V DC system and used in Taxis and the like, to print receipts.

One on it way for testing.

It uses Epson ESCPOS codes and IBM 224 character set.

Should be able to use the protocall function, unless any one has a better suggestion?

Hi,

According to our experience Zebra printers are ASCII based languages, so the FB protocol would work for implementing the communication.  We know already that customers are using applications with zebra printers before.

Attached is old example I found so you need to test it and implement the formatting according to your model.
