V1040 and Data Highway + Communications

I have an application that has to communicate to the SCADA system with Allen Bradley Data Highway Plus. Is there a way to do this with the communication protocol? I need to know if I need an external converter or can i work directly from the port? Thanks.

The application Denis refers to allows us to communicate with Allen Bradley via DF1 (serial).

Your problem will be in the hardware interface conversion. Getting on a DH+ network requires a converter, and they're not cheap. Look for a used 1770-KF2 converter on eBay which will allow you to go from DF1 to DH+.
