  1. I hardly ever use Tviewer these days, I've set up various Tiger configs. However, I thought there was a screen resolution selection available at your end, Flex. Which might be what Gabriel is meaning anyway...I have wrong terminology? And in case you're asking, Tiger doesn't innately do file transfers, so I do it through having a special email set up on the client computer, and move things around using drafts. This is rarely needed, but is there. I could never come at Tview's exorbitant pricing for the few times I need it, and this works fine. cheers, Aus
  2. As well, what Windows version? Try using W7 if possible. I still haven't found why my W10 has recently made part of the OS update fail. However, my W7 laptop with an Express Card in the slot does it perfectly.
  3. Too true, missed that. As I don't change IPs at any time, I was wondering whether it needed to be "redone" after a change, and maybe there were address changes happening elsewhere in the program which made it necessary. Just curious.
  4. Gabriel, this is only minor, but I'm intrigued why you activate SB168 in the ladder itself, rather than simply setting it on powerup? cheers, Aus
  5. Flex, forgot to say Info mode. Thought it, didn't translate correctly to fingers! Pls see amended post above. cheers, Aus
  6. Jeff, it is very easy to miss how to do something on any program with complex abilities. I still find things in Visilogic that have been there for ages but I now need or accidentally discover. Unitronics generally acts on suggestions, and if possible they get implemented, some quite quickly. That's the beauty of them being a smaller company. I personally don't think you've posted incorrectly, but this isn't a slight on Alex. For the forum this should likely read "there are a few MFG reps". Some of the members volunteer as moderators, like myself, Flex & Kratmel to name but a few. The likes of Joe T and Simon also volunteer mods, but are also sellers of the product, so their insights often show the benefits of considerable working with the units. The members make up the rest of the knowledge base, which often shows how extensive it is through to and fro advice mostly reaching a good conclusion for all. cheers, Aus
  7. Michal, just making sure that you have removed the protective film as well. @Cara Bereck Levy Is there a list somewhere that shows what Vision models (edit added)....have INFO mode that can be accessed correctly by Remote Access? I'm confused by Michal saying access is possible on the 1210 involved here. But another topic showed that it is not possible on a 570 or 700, whereas I regularly use it on 130s. cheers, Aus
  8. I'm a great admirer of ants, but sometimes they do need to be "moved on". Amazingly everything worked correctly after a big clean. Underneath the PCB, in the gap to the outside shell, they had done a full nest with eggs etc. A careful removal, complete gentle wash and dry, reassembly and away it all went again. I was so glad they weren't jack jumpers or inch ants, who I am far more careful with, but again, still greatly respect their colony structure and need for them to exist etc. If you're inclined have a read of the links. If you are stung by either you really know about it! And I'm one of the lucky Aussies who has the allergy, so I have to be careful. cheers, Aus. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_jumper_ant https://australian.museum/learn/animals/insects/bull-ants/
  9. A client in my town had an issue with their automatic gate opener. I think I found the problem. cheers, Aus
  10. I don't think this is possible. Ive never really tried to link serials to system operands. However, there are a lot of "un-named" elements in SDW, which might be a way of doing it. For instance, SDW 9 is a unique number as shown, but I can't really relate that any way to a complete serial. Maybe Unitronics has a cross-reference system, but whether they'd give it out is worth asking. But further down, 40 & 41 are different on various 130s I've just checked online, and they appear to never change, so maybe they relate? @AlexUT @Cara Bereck Levy Is it possible to get serial no. via online looking? Is there a facility to get a serial from SDW9? cheers, Aus
  11. Yes, although our east coast has just suffered terrible flooding due to an odd shift of tropical cloud that happens now and then, brought all the way down from the far north. Some locations around Sydney had over 700mm in 3-4 days. That's a lot of water out of the sky. In such rainfall, I often ponder at all the energy involved to make that happen. Totally gobsmacking. Humans are so piddly. cheers, Aus
  12. Fernando, all of Flex's stuff including swaparounds and last resort of make a self-repair fix. I doubt this will help given what you have said, but have you checked the SB168 setting is correct? I'd turn it off on that unit, do an init & reset, then do it all again with it back on. I'd also be looking at 167 to see what it says when you have issues. Perhaps that particular unit is near something like a VFD etc? Checked that unit's earthing? All cabling termination etc is good? Have you checked in info mode that the port settings are definitely what you think they are, especially on a link failure? cheers, Aus
  13. The Help file does sometimes need hunting around to find things, but they are mostly all there. It is often a syntax issue like you say......same issue as when doing a googgles search and not getting a hit because wording is just not quite right. However, I often use the Search facility to narrow things down. In your case for sequence, doing a search for "scan sequence" brought up 14 references, the most likely one was Program Sequencing: Modules, Subroutines, Labels & Jumps. So I opened that and voila, there's the page I've seen many times before. Searching for STL only brings up one reference which is the overview. As Joe says, these days there is no manual in document form. But if you're an oldie like me, (and Joe is too, but is forever young at heart) you might possess a pdf of such a thing. Have a look at my newly added Point 21 here: https://forum.unitronics.com/topic/6229-ongoing-21-topics-almost-worth-pinning/ Enjoy chatting with Joe, he's a vast treasure trove of knowledge. cheers, Aus
  14. Hi all, I often get asked for written info on Visilogic. These days it doesn't exist in one hit as such, it's all in Help or online. I've zipped up old info and attached it, but you MUST remember that is older, and thus doesn't reference later models and many program improvements/additions. It is still a good thing to have. You'll end up with these files, after you've used my forum name as password. cheers, Aus 1454846297_VisiLogicManuals9-2-0.zip
  15. Flex's post just popped up as I posted.... Before you do anything, you need to experiment (a lot) with your 570 using Visilogic, which is available on the Unitronics website. Get version 9.8.65. https://www.unitronicsplc.com/Download/SoftwareVersions/Visilogic/VisiLogic_9_8_65.exe
  16. FYI, in all my timer over-ride situations, I arrange another timed control element that runs a new MB etc on the main operation net. I don't link the over-ride directly accessing into the main control time system. It looks like you have done it as the separate way. The other way can lead to headaches.
  17. Your reply just popped up as I was finishing. John, to my eye the real question is whether MB90 is being set with the online MB91 set click. Your logic supposedly turns 91 on (with an online click) , then 90, then 91 off. So the set is likely not even showing in online mode, as at the end of the scan it is off. But 90 should set. However, I don't normally do two coils in one rung. I break things up to enable easier troubleshooting. Which is what Kratmel is getting at. For interest's sake try dropping the 91 reset from 6, and adding in a rung after your existing 6 that is simply if MB 91 is on it resets MB91. That separates the two actions. If this doesn't work, check again that you're not using 91 elsewhere! cheers, Aus
  18. Flex, you forgot the BEEP(x, y) signal in the coding. 🙂 That's always the bit I laugh at.
  19. Looking again at your calls, an observation to be aware of. I have found that I need a few scans for more complex 485 reads to be done successfully, even though the system indicates things have finished via Function in Progress. I have always put this down to buffer issues. But other forum members successfully have comms working as you do, with calls in theory happening immediately when F i P finishes. If nothing of the above seems to fix the issue, maybe try incorporating a small delay b/n calls to see what happens. I still think the timings shown seem a bit odd, as if something else is affecting the calls. But it might also be what I've just written about. Also, many members do not do multiple tries, just one attempt. "If it don't work, it won't." I personally do 2 attempts, and also monitor results to ensure things change as expected over time. cheers, Aus
  20. Init and Reset often cures odd issues. If having problems like yours, I'd do it after each program download. Ensure all of Flex's call comments are checked. Screens take a few scans to completely load, and if other screen calls happen during further scans the little humans in the plc start running down the same passages and bump into each other's heads. cheers, Aus
  21. Your 350 in theory only comes with one com port standard. Extra ports are optional, be it 232 485 or ethernet. In your case it appears you have another 485 port fitted. In addition to Kratmel's observation on baud rate, you have 232 as the chosen standard (top right) which is likely the culprit...change it to 485. Also, in looking at the times in the data record, to me there is also something wrong with your timeouts and retries. Make sure you aren't getting a clash of timings/requests etc that completely throw things out of sequence. Please note that another way you could talk much better b/n the Unitronics devices is UniCAN. Extra cards needed, but easy to do and fast. But I think some minor corrections here and there will fix your issues. I still ponder the converter! What is the brand and model? cheers, Aus
  22. All the above from Gabriel and Flex. Ditto from me on the 232 - 485 adapter....huh? This may not work as expected given it's likely designed to be attached to a PC and run with specific drivers. Do you know that the 350 can do 485 all on it's own? If you don't, read about it in the install manual for the unit, with the illustrations of the Controller Port & Jumpers under the Pinouts heading. And the associated question with using the 232 port is how are you connecting to the 350 to monitor things etc via Visilogic? Does it have an ethernet card fitted? If not, strongly suggest to do it this way, then your serial port is only for 485 use. But to truly answer your questions, we need to see the insides of the Modbus Config blocks for both units.
  23. Glad you finally got it going. It is really infuriating when something that worked fine is made redundant through an "improvement" made by someone who doesn't realise all the ramifications of what they are doing. Or they DO know, and simply put it in the too hard basket so that those impacted have to figure it out themselves. Youngies are especially good at doing this, as they think that everyone is like them with the very latest gizmo/phone/etc, so they make everything only work with the latest versions. Here in Aus, a lot of Govt issued apps etc do NOT work on slightly older stuff, as the Youngie developers are doing it on their Govt provided very latest gizmos. They just don't get it! And finally when they are told about the issue, it's a case of "WHAT? You want it to work on all OSs from 2 years ago? Jeesh, you're such a dinosaur!" "No, we want it to work on stuff much older! Your thing only works on the very latest release.......you dumbclucks! Not everyone in the populace is able to spend $1+K every 3 months on the very latest phone, like you do!" end of rant....... For interest's sake, when I have some spare time (ha ha) I might play with my virtual system and usb adapters. My VM is Oracle based. cheers, Aus
