  1. Hey Tim I saw the comments regardng bugs, and submitted them to the right people--thanks (and nice app!)
  2. Hi:) We believe that since we release versions fairly frequently, is is better for the majority of users to have a single name for all. Those who need them track versions with the Swapper... You are right in that it is very simple. I'll keep an eye on this space to see what others think.
  3. Well, Simon, this is on the To-Do list, but I don't believe we will see it in the V570 in the near future.
  4. Thanks for your observations, guys. I forwarded them to the relevant people However--note that we are working, currently, on a slave solution....
  5. Hi Fascinating> / spock Thanks, Damian, I forwarded this information to the appropriate R&D dudes....
  6. Hi Greg, I am working on the Help right now I will be releasing it with the version, and if possible earlier (though I doubt it )
  7. Joe!!! That's keyboard #4!!! Sending this on to my techwriters offt-topic forum--gotta spread the joy!
  8. Hi guys Okay--first or all, I'm glad that the first reaction to the new 'tab' interface is fairly positive. We really had no choice, because of the size of the V1040 screen. I will submit the other ideas to the relevant people--some of them are, I think, easy to implement. I will take this opportunity to remind you all that even if we don't implement something in VisiLogic, your observations and requests are very valuable as we define the Next Generation, so keep 'em coming.
  9. I'm sorry guys--yes, we have to have a moderated forum. Apart from the usual spam, we have come under cyberattack a few times specificall because we are an Israel-based company. Pretty pathetic, isn't it? We really have no choice but to moderate. I apologise if this is inconvenient at times; I will look into possible solutions.
  10. I hope that Q1 means January; pricing should be released during December--sorry I can't be more exact!
  11. Interesting--thanks for the suggestion!
  12. Ok--not cute--it's RUGGED! Very, very rugged--you could bring it to a WWF event...Nascar.... We'll be releasing the technical details eventually. As regards the beta testing, we're covered-- thanks
  13. A mathematician, a physicist, and an engineer are all given identical rubber balls and told to find the volume. They are given anything they want to measure it, and have all the time they need. The mathematician pulls out a measuring tape and records the circumference. He then divides by two times pi to get the radius, cubes that, multiplies by pi again, and then multiplies by four-thirds and thereby calculates the volume. The physicist gets a bucket of water, places 1.00000 gallons of water in the bucket, drops in the ball, and measures the displacement to six significant figures. And the engineer? He writes down the serial number of the ball, and looks it up. ---------------------- A team of engineers were required to measure the height of a flag pole. They only had a measuring tape, and were getting quite frustrated trying to keep the tape along the pole. It kept falling down, etc. A mathematician comes along, finds out their problem, and proceeds to remove the pole from the ground and measure it easily. When he leaves, one engineer says to the other: "Just like a mathematician! We need to know the height, and he gives us the length!" ---------------------- A mathematician and an engineer are on desert island. They find two palm trees with one coconut each. The engineer climbs up one tree, gets the coconut, eats. The mathematician climbs up the other tree, gets the coconut, climbs the other tree and puts it there. "Now we've reduced it to a problem we know how to solve." ------------------------ A physicist, a mathematician, and a mystic were asked to name the greatest invention of all time. The physicist chose the fire, which gave humanity the power over matter. The mathematician chose the alphabet, which gave humanity power over symbols. The mystic chose the thermos bottle. "Why a thermos bottle?" the others asked. "Because the thermos keeps hot liquids hot in winter and cold liquids cold in summer." "Yes -- so what?" "Think about it." said the mystic reverently. That little bottle -- how does it *know*?" --------------------- One day a farmer called up an engineer, a physicist, and a mathematician and asked them to fence of the largest possible area with the least amount of fence. The engineer made the fence in a circle and proclaimed that he had the most efficient design. The physicist made a long, straight line and proclaimed "We can assume the length is infinite..." and pointed out that fencing off half of the Earth was certainly a more efficient way to do it. The Mathematician just laughed at them. He built a tiny fence around himself and said "I declare myself to be on the outside." ------------------------
  14. Take a look at the Help topic V120 and V130, which deal wih conversion issues. I owe Joe on that one--he provided a lot of the information in that topic:)

  16. Hold on--wait--and when did the error occur? At start-up, while editing an app..? I don't see the context from the capture....
  17. :)Hi guys , The V1040 Big Screen Vision will be available during Q1, 2011. (A perk of working in R&D--I've just been playing with one. It's cute )
  18. Hi Damian Interesting... What Visi version? And what Windows are you running? And any other information that might be relevant, please.
  19. Simon, I understand If anyone were to record me, talking to myself while I am testing software...'Wait. What just happened? Is that a bug? Nah...I probably did I something stupid. Wait--did load the right OS? I better do it again...Wait--I think it maybe is a bug...Hold on. Did I select the right Swapper version...? .....' ad infinitum
