Cara Bereck Levy
I am really curious to see what people post here! I wanted to mention that in Unitronics UDFBs, we decided to create a class of 'Z-Operands', where the 'Z-' signifies operands that are integral to the internal working of UDFB, and should not be touched. I'd like to recommend that others do the same--makes it easier to share UDFBs. GENERAL DISCLAIMER: This page contains files and links to items developed by third parties. Robin P
Apologies for probably being in the wrong forum, but what UniStream I/O should I use to read a thermocouple? Is therean equivalent to the VisiLogic IO-ATC8?
MVP 2022 Joe Tauser Posted January 30, 2014 MVP 2022 Report Share Posted January 30, 2014 Unistream can talk to the ATC8 via an EX-RC1 over CANbus. Joe T.
Robin P
Thanks Joe. I guess that to read a temperature local to the controller - with no CANbus otherwise needed - my most cost-effective way would be to use a UIA-0402N with a 0-10V temperature sensor (e.g. EI-1034). MVP 2022 Joe Tauser Posted February 6, 2014 MVP 2022 Report Share Posted February 6, 2014 The EI-1304 would do, but at 1 mV / deg F you don't have a lot of signal to work with. You may want to consider a thermocouple transducer that would give you a standard process output. Joe T.
