I usually just use SB 3 for convenience, but you can use a self-resetting timer to implement any flashing frequency you desire.

You can also use the drum sequencer if you want to create different flashing patterns.

One more tip - blinking with different Cycle Time and Duty Cycle.

You can set different BLINK bits (like MB10) and use it for some type of machine working mode indication.
