  1. I'm always looking for this and decided it should be Pinned.
  2. Nothing complicated about it. UniLogic allows as many different versions installed simultaneously as you wish. Just select the correct shortcut when starting up the software. VisiLogic has one extra step (running Version Swapper), but still you don't need anything like separate "virtual machines".
  3. Personally, I believe this to be a huge mistake. PLCs are not like Windows computers & software. Sometimes there is a specific reason for upgrading (important and needed new feature being added, internet security, bug causing your particular installation problems being fixed, etc), but routine upgrading just because a new version is out - no.
  4. DanT has provided some excellent help. I will add that you need to get some of the terminology correct so that your searches will be more accurate: UniStream - the PLC hardware (PLC+HMI device), there are various models of the UniStream PLCs UniLogic - the programming software for the UniStream hardware Unitronics - the manufacturer of the hardware and programming software I strongly recommend that you purchase the hardware you will be programming as soon as you possibly can. There are no logic simulators and your project development will require that you experiment and test as you go along.
  5. Have you tried removing and replacing with the same CPU, not just rebooting? Is the PLC subject to a lot of vibration?
  6. This looks to me like a single device and you choose which scale reading via MODBUS command. I see no reason to close the connection, once established, nor any reason to use two sockets. I'm not familiar with these scales so I may be misinterpreting something. You can choose the timing between commands without closing the socket.
  7. This makes no sense to me. If you were communicating as though it was one device, then why was it necessary to close the connection between MODBUS commands?
  8. That's your problem - you can't have two devices on the same network with the same IP address.
  9. It's telling you what the problem is: "Stop reason ; No Application" This means exactly what it says, there is no application in the PLC. This can be caused by several things, but most likely due to removing power from the PLC with no battery or a dead battery. The solution is to replace the battery and reload the application from VisiLogic.
  10. Why are you trying to communicate with two different devices through the same socket? Use two different sockets, one for each scale - then you don't have to waste time connecting and disconnecting.
  11. This pinned post is where we've been collecting that information. Try Alt-PrtScrn.
  12. And one of the few that doesn't work when spoken aloud.
  13. Have you elevated this to Unitronics Support (support@unitronics.com)? Keep in mind that this is a user forum staffed by volunteer users who for the most part are not Unitronics employees. Most of the people here do not have the type of specialized knowledge you are seeking. In any case, I recommend patience as most forum members likely don't check this board every day.
