This needs to be moved to the appropriate forum, but I don't know which one. What PLC are you using?

I'm like a broken record on this, but do you have a Snap-in I/O module attached?
-
I asked about that shortly after the introduction of the V700 and was told it wasn't going to happen. I can imagine it would be a complicated affair to implement since it would require a firmware update and the previous module would still have to be available and there would be inevitable confusion of the wrong module mated with the wrong firmware version.

I don't think you can add more, but you can include any number of jumps you want in the ladder. I personally almost never use the Jumps & Links tab and program all my jumps in ladder.

the second keyboard has a different look & feel.
Yep, and sadly that is not available outside of INFO Mode.

Only one more question, is there any SB that goes to ON when the user has finished of input a variable in a control?
Not an SB, but the "Legal entry" field allows an MB that will turn on with a successful entry.

I rarely use floating point operands, but my understanding is that it is stored in a 32-bit memory location, just like an ML, but it has to store both the significand and the exponent in that 32-bit location. The situation with MF is that it trades off between range and precision. You cannot get 10 digits of precision in an MF.

There are multiple ways to do this, but there's not a simple System Bit to disable the touchscreen. Either create a blank HMI screen with no buttons that displays during the time you want to disallow button presses, or use the disable bit on all buttons that are on screen and activate that bit during the disallow time.
I will often have functions that are only available with proper login and will hide or disable elements when the user isn't logged in.

It's easy to set up the linearization wrong. Post your code.

Does the one instance per tag, per program include disabled rugs?
No. Disabled rungs are not compiled.

You seem uncertain. There is a search function to make sure.

Surely only the reset coil can unlatch it?
Yes, that is correct.

Moved, or copied? Make sure that coil does not exist anywhere else in the program.

And, please, do not place two networks in a single ladder rung.

Yes, use SI 9 to adjust the backlight intensity from 0% - 100% and use SB 16 to return the screen backlight to its previous value.
Be careful though, when a user touches a dark screen, any button or control that is there will be activated. I usually load a blank screen when I dim the display to prevent inadvertent activation of some control.

If the "Burn Upload Project" option was selected when the project was downloaded, then the .vlp file can be extracted. If not, then no. Once you download a new project, the previous project in the PLC is gone forever.
-
No! Either place both sets of conditions in the same ladder rung leading to the coil, or create two intermediate coils, one with each set of conditions, and use those intermediate coils in parallel to activate the original coil.

I don't know, that looks like a smile to me. After all he appears to be enjoying a fine cigar!
-
If you have the original .vlp file, then you can create anything you want and have a bit to run your new subroutines to the exclusion of the original subroutines and vice versa. Other than that there is no capability to load two totally separate programs into the PLC at the same time.
-
Yes, that would work.
-
I see that you've placed the contact for the Timer on the same network as the coil many times in your program. Don't do that. Break it up as I showed you above.
Not sure what you're asking about O1 starting again. It will start whenever you get a pulse from the Pressure Mat.
-
You've got the right idea here, just move the T2 contact and O2 Reset to the next ladder rung. Also, don't create multiple networks in the same ladder rung.
-
My suggestion is to download a blank project, then re-download the project giving you problems. Also, make sure the firmware on the PLC is up to date.
Also, in the Fonts Handler in VisiLogic, press the "Delete All Unused" button to make sure you've cleared out everything.

In that case, you need to ask @Joe Tauser.

I need one of those 4-20 mA generators! They're too expensive.
I have no experience with the mA generator, but I would assume it would hold a steady reading. If you're still getting fluctuation with that, then maybe there is some kind of hardware problem with the I/O module or a power supply issue. You probably need some input from Unitronics on this.

It depends on what the sensor is. Some are worse than others. You can add additional filtration if you need to, or show one less decimal on your HMI.

I've never seen this happen. Assuming you don't have some strange elements on your HMI display, do the following:
1) Confirm you have the correct firmware on the PLC to match the VisiLogic version you are using.
2) Download a blank project file to the PLC.
3) Re-download your project to the PLC and see if the problem still exists.
