MVP 2023 Joe Tauser Posted December 27, 2018 MVP 2023 Report Share Posted December 27, 2018 According to the data sheet, that unit has two PNP outputs and an analog output. And you can program it. So I'm going to say Brn +24V Blu 0V Blk I0 Wht I1 Unless you want to give us a LOT more details on what you're trying to do. Joe T.
Craig Dunagan
I'll start with that... Thanks...
Craig Dunagan
all we are doing is when the level gets too high it opens a valve and drains until it gets lower and closes the valve...
Craig Dunagan
Thanks Joe, Is there a Specfic output for the 4-20ma or do you plug into a pnp output and program from there?
sgull
I think you have the choice of 2 digital outputs from the IFM unit or 1 digital and 1 analog. You need to decide how you are going to control. You can use two digital and use the sensor settings to control levels or use the 4-20ma to give you a level and program the PLC to switch at specific levels. If you use the analog you need to use an analog input on the PLC.

If you're just looking for two specific levels then yes. Program the unit for an output for each level you want an go back to my original answer - you can do this with two digital inputs. Joe T.
