V100-17-CAN Pinout

Hi, I have been asked to work on a V700 Vision with a V100-17-CAN port already installed.

How do I find the pinout for the CAN socket.

The documentation I have found says the wiring is +V, H, PE, L, -V. This leaves me a 50% chance of getting it right.

Some of the Official Unitronics CANbus Connectors have the terminals actually labelled on the connector.  Some don't.

If you hold the connector in your hand with the wire entry holes facing you and the screws pointing up, it goes like this:

And it turned out that the internal circuit of the CAN card has protection against "change of power polarity".

Thanks Kratmel, your image answered my question. Maybe Unitronics could add an image/drawing to the docs for the V100-17-CAN module showing the orientation. This would leave no doubt regardless of the polarity protection?
