redhunter
Hi I have two laptops, one on windows 7 pro which runs fine talking to Jazz PLC's. The other laptop has windows 10 pro. This is the one I prefer to use but have problems with it communicating with the jazz units. Have tried a few, all with the same problems, i.e. takes many attempts to connect and download programs. I assume it's a simple compatability issue? Any advice on how to fix? Thanks Craig
MVP 2023 Flex727 Posted May 5, 2017 MVP 2023 Report Share Posted May 5, 2017 This is likely due to the USB-to-serial driver issues.

MVP 2014 Simon Posted May 8, 2017 MVP 2014 Report Share Posted May 8, 2017 The Jazz contains a built-in USB to Serial convertor.
AlexUT
Hi, Disconnect USB cable from PLC. Use "Install USB Driver" from "PC Communication Port Settings". Connect USB cable to PLC. Wait until required driver be installed. Check what COM port is linked, then use it to connect to PLC.
