    Hi all!

Hi Kappa, Thank you for choosing Unitronics products. If you do not find answers for your needs in the forum, you are more than welcome to write us at support@unitronics.com
  2. Hi Kappa27, Please change the .xltx file to a standard worksheet (.xlsx) and try again.
  3. Hi Mdglopper, The warning triangle in the download menu appears when there is a mismatch between Unilogic version and the firmware version in the PLC. To be able to download applications with the new version please follow the instructions in the attached PDF (taken straight from Unilogic help file). Unistream Firmware Update.pdf
  4. Hi Mike, Currently, the only way to access UniApps is as you described above. However, adding run time tools to access UniApps is on our to do list.
  5. Hi Andreas, First of all, it is recommended to upgrade you Visilogic software to the most recent version (V9.7.24). Second, please send your application to support@unitronics.com for further examination.
  6. Hi Ben, Please try the following: 1. Follow the instructions described in the following link: http://www.unitronics.com/docs/pdf/disable-uac-vista-win7.pdf?sfvrsn=2 2. Download the installation file again from here: http://www.unitronics.com/downloads/support/visilogic/VisiLogicSetup_9_7_Build24.exe 3. Before executing the installation file, make sure it is unblocked by right clicking the file icon-->select Properties-->press on the Unblock button. 4. Run the installation file as administrator.
  7. Hello stephc3 You are correct, setting an alarm is done from an array of bits, under the "Alarm Example" struct. You can access this array directly by typing "Alarms Example.User Event Array" in a tag input line. There are 250 tags in this array.
  8. Dear Peter, Please try re installing Visilogic. Before executing the installation file, make sure to check that it is unblocked by accessing its properties (right click on the file-->properties). Then run as administrator see image below. Let me know if that solved the issue.
  9. Hi, 1. Please send screenshots of this issue. 2. Please send the details of your system - CPU type, operating system, system memory etc. 3. Anyway, we recommend updating your Visilogic version. The current version is 9.7.9, and has a lot of fixes in it.
  10. Hi Martynas1 I tested modbus communication for both JZ10 and JZ20 and both can successfully communicate with the Modbus protocol for different parity bit settings. Could you give some more information regarding this issue?
  11. Hi, Several questions: 1. Can you connect to the Samba PLC from the laptop running Windows XP? 2. Can you connect to other PLC's from Visilogic on Windows 7? 3. What type of USB to RS232 converter are you using?
  12. Hi cbryan, In general, the method for installing the OS to the PLC is the correct way to fix this issue. A sanity check - Are you connected to the PLC via port1? You can update the OS from this port only.
  13. Hi Peter, We suspect that this is an issue related to User Account Control settings in Windows 7/8. 1. Please make sure that UAC settings are switched to off - from the Windows start menu search for "change user account control settings". 2. If that still doesn't solve the issue, try to reinstall Visilogic with UAC turned off.
  14. Hi Pascal, Thanks for bringing this up. I will pass this request for our R&D department.
  15. Please send an email to support@unitronics.com We will initiate a remote session and try to solve this issue
  16. Hi CFBFP, From the attached screenshot, the first thing i noticed is that you are not separating your logic into nets. It is strongly recommended to write the ladder in separated nets for every rung. Try this method. If it still doesn't work please send the application to support@unitronics.com
  17. Hi Peter, It is not possible to change a background image during the PLC runtime. However, you can add another screen with the exact same elements but a different background image, and create a logic to jump to this page when necessary.
  18. Hi jblkiller, We do not manufacture such products for the Jazz PLC's. However, we do have a similar product for one of the V570 models. If it is relevant, please let me know.
  19. Hi Lawry, We are constantly working to make our web site more accessible and user friendly. You will find all the specs in the attached catalog, and some features in the product overview web page: http://www.unitronics.com/plc-hmi/product-overview Unitronics_EUR_Catalog_2014_LO.PDF
  20. Hi, Please send the application to support@unitronics.com and describe exactly what you want to achieve.
  21. Hi Pecos_maui, In the hardware configuration window, both the IO-AI8 and IO-ATC8 are being defined from the same icon. See attached image.
  22. Hi LPK, Regarding text editing in Unilogic - In the ladder screen you can select the "Edit" menu from the ribbon. You have all the Microsoft Office tools like font sizes and colors, padding etc. Regarding expandable comments in Unilogic - Thanks for the suggestion. We will review it. In the meantime, you can divide your code into regions. At the beginning of every region there is a fixed space for comments of several lines of text.
  23. Michael, The example is working. It was tested and being used by others. Please explain what exactly is not working for you in the example. Also, please note that when filling in values to a data table, they are not automatically being downloaded to the PLC. You need to manually write these values to the PLC. See the attached image.
  24. You can find it in http://www.unitronics.com/support/downloads Go to the bottom of the page. It is under "ActiveX Communication Driver"
