  1. Erebo, sorry, I can't give this time for the next few days at least. Someone else chime in? That said, did you actually do the online manipulation like I suggested. Your "still having problems" doesn't really answer the question. cheers, Aus
  2. Joseodar, please check this post, and topic. It might help. cheers, Aus
  3. John, I find it curious that many types are giving you trouble. I just see a link between "power meter" and "drops". Is the chain done correctly with excellent shielding? Unshielded sections not near power lines? As well, are all devices set for comms correctly, with no clashing IDs? All terminations and resistors located/set/programmed properly? I know these are basics, but often something in a big chain is easily overlooked, or doesn't properly retain a change as expected, and a conflict arises. Many modbus things I work with annoyingly need a special program to change IDs and retain the change in the initial stages. Once done properly, normal access is easy. Of course, the basics of your question are also valid. But the coincidences are high, hence the questions. cheers, Aus
  4. arzel, click on the .ulpr link at the bottom of Liranaftali's post and it will act just like a download link. You must be registered and online on the forum to do this. cheers, Aus
  5. Hi dtwbb, please do not do multiple posts about the same issue. It just gets confusing on the forum. In future, please just do one post describing all your needs and observations, if desirable as a follow on in a topic, and include links to what you have found elsewhere if useful. I have left all of your current ones up for this time only. Please also remember that posts do not get shown until moderator approval occurs, which can be some hours if all the volunteers on this forum are not active. cheers, Aus
  6. Hi erebo, check the operation by going online first and manually manipulating the analog output. If you have indeed got everything set for using 0-4095 0-10V output correctly, and also everything set ok at the drive end, manually entering a value of 1020 should have your motor's reducer output somewhere close to 18.75 rpm. 2040 should be around 75/2 = 37.5rpm. etc. If this isn't the case then something is physically wrong with your setup. If it works ok, I'd be changing your maths around a bit, but that's the next explain. cheers, Aus
  7. Have a look at this post and it might give you ideas. Not exactly what you want, but near enough. Keep in mind that if you are communicating with a few slaves by modbus, you may not be able to do an accurate save every second, due to the inherent delays in the comms. cheers, Aus
  8. Thanks Keklon, I forgot to say that I manually enter a description into the largest vector the struct will make, to ensure I don't go near it with other things. Visilogic does not do this automatically, hence my earlier advice. Something like "Unit and Struct number and direction" copied down in all the Descriptions. Structs can get terribly confusing if you don't keep track of source and destination very well. Excel is your friend. cheers, Aus
  9. Hi all, recently had to change some internal modules/configs in a 130. Pulling the PCB was far more difficult than I was used to, and made me stop and reassess. This was a 130 that was already in use, and I found that I had left the microSD card in place. This protrudes enough to not let the pcb glide past the normally easy gap. Removed the card and things were ok. Moral of the story......Always ensure the MicroSD is out of a unit before doing any internal work. I know this is a very limited scenario, as most times this access is done during first install, but felt it worth noting here. The same thing might apply to a host of other models. cheers, Aus
  10. The magic words full reboot solves a host of issues. It should be mandatory after any installation, and at least once a week or less. For me all my puters are turned off when I finish each night. (How much energy would that save the world if it was compulsory?!! I constantly see entire floors of buildings with everything sitting there still on, just to avoid that little delay each morning.) Don't forget W10 also does the Fast Startup feature by default, which I personally have disabled. Not many people know about this, it seems....they just like the quick start and think it's their wizzy system! A link thru quick googling: https://www.howtogeek.com/349114/shutting-down-doesnt-fully-shut-down-windows-10-but-restarting-it-does/ cheers, Aus
  11. Isakovic is correct. The one thing to remember when using Structs is to ensure that you aren't inadvertently using an area of the vector the struct uses to "make" itself. This varies with what you are actually composing the struct from. cheers, Aus
  12. One other thing Sam, static IPs on SIMS here is not mainstream. If you are only wanting to send info out, then it is not that hard. But if it is going to be a 2 way street, you will likely need to hunt one up from the specialist vendors, names like m2m One etc. cheers, Aus
  13. The few times I've needed this capability it's just been for simple basics and I've used a variety of modems. Robustel M1000Pro was the latest. However, they are all in the same boat as Sam's ask, in that they are 3G. However, the 3G that I use (using Telstra) is not being phased out until June 2024, with other techs seemingly later than that due to slower rollout, so I have not been too concerned about changing things as yet. My feeling is that there will be more and more suitable products surface as the needs arise. And I feel sure that prices will come down...that Sierra looks great, but too dear for me to consider at present. Edit add: I have tried a few USR things over they years and sometimes they are great, and other times a right PITA. I would be interested to know how it goes if it is sourced. Incidentally, I source direct from USR. Correction sorry, that is Wafer products. USR I use aliexpress. cheers, Aus
  14. Likely you did a typo, but it must be a hub, Flex. As the Master says. HNY. cheers, Aus
  15. @Saragani Hi Saragini, I didn't really get a chance to report back until now, which has just been accumulating knowledge through general use on various O/S. I can confirm that it doesn't remember last location on program startup on any of the O/S I use. But if you close then reopen the program without rebooting, the location is retained. Once there is a reboot involved, it doesn't. Something else to perhaps change as well, which has annoyed me for some time. If you use the Favorites tab in connection type, it actually seems to be using it's OWN favorites list, not the .evb used elsewhere. A quick search on my C only reveals the one .evb, so the program must be using it's own method/file system for saving this info. It is also annoying that if you simply highlight the required favorite as a double click, or single click and OK, this DOESN'T select those properties like you would expect. You have to use the "Load Connection from Selected Row" star to do so. This is so unlike normal usage it is easily forgotten....like I just did a moment ago.....and took a while to remember this quirk! cheers, Aus
  16. Milosh, a really annoying thing to be going through. I agree with everything Joe says, particularly the time wasted bit. But it also sounds you are a bit like me, always wanting to find the reason for something happening....it just nags away in the brain. Sometimes I have to give up, though! I know you have probably tried this, but wondering if it might be an A/V issue? My A/V sometimes needs tweaking on Unitronics stuff, it occasionally doesn't grant correct rights. Also, in your working W10 system, use the Device Remover program I referred to, find the actual drivers that are in place and see if a bit of "driver adjustment/copy etc" might help. Try U90 on a totally different W7 computer make etc? cheers, Aus
  17. M$oft has very annoying habits of changing things, (seemingly for no reason!) that upset comms....especially serial devices and their drivers. Have you tried using an older version of U90? Also, for a bit of useful knowledge, have a read of this post which has some tips. http://forum.unitronics.com/topic/4516-usb-connection-issues/?do=findComment&comment=16593 cheers, Aus
  18. Never had this, but have you tried Project/System Descriptions/Restore All System Descriptions? I don't think it will help in this case but try it first and report back. It does fix very odd behaviours with operand details not displaying correctly, but might cure this as well. cheers, Aus
  19. If you meander around everything under Controller/M90 OPLC settings, what works? How did you update the O/S? Have you tried a full reset? Have you got the Cinterion ladderwork present in your program?
  20. Milosh, just making sure that you installed U90 using Right click/run as Admin? I assume your reference of " Checked Run as admin, UAC set to lower level." is the setting within Compatibility, that you have done correctly. But if you didn't do the install as above, you might have comms issues. cheers, Aus
  21. Sorry...my never doing this particular thing is showing suggesting Master. Is slave a general rule you work by, Joe? I am still used to working with dumb HMIs that were totally controlled by the plc. I've just looked this unit up, it has far more brains. I think I'll have to stop trying to be helpful if I haven't actually specifically done something. 😶 cheers, Aus
  22. ooops, misread the descriptions, sorry. Thought they were the same thing. I would still be going along the simple path I first described. Any time I am using something new, be it a physical gizmo or programming capability I am not familiar with, I always do it as a standalone trial to fully learn the intricacies of how it works. Once that is done and fully into the brain and perhaps physical notes, only then will I integrate it into the developing program. cheers, Aus
  23. OK. Swervo, don't forget my practice of printing to pdf, which then lets you easily have a view of another ladder structure for visual cues for actual assembly work. In Visi I often do this instead of running another instance, especially when only having a laptop screen to work with. cheers, Aus
  24. Swap the reset and set locations of update and set time in your shown 3rd rung? Why use so many set/resets in the first place? For me I always try to use the least possible, as expected sequencing often goes astray due to things changing in one scan. cheers, Aus
