  1. @Joe Tauser, did you write that in the newest version of VisiLogic? I haven't installed it yet, but I was able to open the project in 9.8.31. Unfortunately, the wider ladder rungs did bad things - they try to go off screen and can't be accessed. Unitronics needs to prevent 9.8.64 projects from being opened in previous versions.
  2. Great news, but twice as tall (or 50% taller) is what I need more. I have regular need for 12 contacts in parallel and constantly breaking them into two sets of six is a pain.
  3. It sounds like the project file (.vlp) was corrupted. Do you have a backup of that file?
  4. No, it is not possible. Why do you need to?
  5. Right click and do a "Save Link As".
  6. Assuming there is some reason for upgrading to 9.8.9, yes you can clone the V570 PLC to the SD card prior to the upgrade and then restore it to the original condition if you experience some problem. However, especially when you have an intricate project as you mention, I rarely do any upgrade of that nature because you're just asking for trouble. I always use Version Swapper on my laptop to return to the original version of VisiLogic and do any software changes from that. Others do it differently, but I believe if it ain't broke, don't fix it (in other words don't upgrade the firmware unless it's necessary for some reason).
  7. You can backup the program to the SD card without writing to flash memory. It's the restore from the SD that writes to the onboard flash. As Ausman said, what is your issue with the onboard flash memory?
  8. Are you sure you have V280 selected in the Hardware Configuration?
  9. I just tried it and had no trouble creating 30 LEDs. Try re-starting VisiLogic and/or rebooting your computer.
  10. This is smart! Please report back with the results - we must know!
  11. I could be wrong, but I believe these screens use resistive touch, not capacitance touch like phone screens. With resistive touch it's okay for the finger to be insulated. I often use a pencil eraser on my development PLCs to keep them pristine.
  12. Keep in mind that this is a holiday week in the United States. You might try sending an email to support@unitronics.com. I don't know if they are working in Boston, or might forward to Israel, but it's worth a try.
  13. I've seen a particle of dirt get under the screen protector and cause intermittent fail. I've also seen the touch property of the screen fail completely, but it's rare.
  14. Another possibility - these screens can only register a single touch at once. We're all used to multi-touch screens on our phones and these screens won't do that. If there is anything else touching the screen, the second touch won't register. Make sure the screen is clean and if the plastic screen protector is still on the screen, remove it. Confirm the operator isn't inadvertently touching the screen elsewhere when trying to push the button.
  15. I've never seen the second message you show, but that looks like you're trying to update VisiLogic, not the firmware on your PLC. To update the firmware on your PLC, connect the PLC with the computer running VisiLogic and confirm you have a connection (Connection/Get PLC Information), then select the 4th tab over (tool tip says Operating System), then click the Check button. After that, follow the prompts and be prepared to wait about 5 minutes while VisiLogic updates your PLC firmware. You should then be good to go.
  16. This is a Job Board. Are you looking to hire a programmer to handle this, or at least help? If so, please feel free to email me at blanier @ arc-controls . com (remove spaces). If you just want a few questions answered, post in the Vision PLC Series and VisiLogic forum and you should be able to get the help you need.
