Can't you use Store/Direct to put 0 into DW0 when at the home point? I also note that in a very quick look at your program that you have DW0 power up value set at 0. There are pros and cons to this, retaining the value might be beneficial.
jt, you've said that you've checked the M91's comm settings. How did you do this? Did you use information mode? If not, look at the help file about info mode and then access the comm settings with the plc running to indeed make sure they are what you say. Ensure it is in run mode using info mode, too.
If this doesn't work, I think you need to have a good read of the post linked below and perhaps the rest of the topic. And also read the entire topic linked within my post. Perhaps your Gold X doesn't have a real 2302......both topics are lengthy but have good explanations. I would also think about using the program mentioned to completely clean all your usb to serial drivers out and start again but being more careful with drivers. There is likely a very simple explanation here, but it could also be way more complex than you would desire! Some usb converters are a complete PITA, and that is why I only use truly genuine ones from the likes of Shentek etc. Read and learn some useful info anyway.
I'm using the Samba to control a simple servo.
It works with the step control hso.
Everething works ok , only it is not possible to make a homing cycle.
How can i reset DW0 in the file included ?
I can't do anything with this operand.
There must be a solution because when there is no homing you can't use the stepper function to positioning ??
