I am attempting to send email from a US5 PLC using UniLogic.
My first attempts were using gmail as the from address and I was aided by many previous discussions on this forum. I have since been informed by Unitronics support that gmail is no longer supported and I am now trying again using yahoo. Here are my details:
PLC panel IP configured as 10.13.0.46.
Gateway: 10.13.0.254.
Outgoing server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com:587
DNS server: 8.8.8.8.
Two factor authentication is turned off on the yahoo account.
When the Unitronics program runs it displays error code -1 which states ‘General COM Error. Please check the physical connections.’
I believe my physical connections are okay because I can ping the IP address of the PLC from my phone or laptop.
Has anyone else had success sending email with their Unitronics PLC recently? Can see you any immediate problems that might be causing this error?
Hello
After 4 years, there is still no Help file for Strings in UniLogic SW
....
Does someone know what are the Input Tags A-F for "Replace String" block?
Is there a way of using "Load from Array" or "Store in Array" functions with Lists?
It would be awesome to make a list of structs dedicated to objects (lamps, motors, belt conveyors, robot cells...). Servicing all of them would be possible with a simple For-loop instead of a For-each.
Sometimes when there's lots of objects, to save on retained memory I make two structs for an object: one containing retained settings and one containing non-retained variables for the object which are reset to zero on power-on. I do this is because I can't pick which variables in a struct will be retained, and which would not. Only the whole struct can be marked as retained. That would be a huge waste of precious retained 256K.
Problem arises when using For-each: the loop can only take ONE type of struct, not two. So the variables struct can't see the settings struct.
3. If the device is a dumb TV or a simple HDMI monitor, then buy an Android set-top box with Ethernet port, and use it to make the TV "smart".
Also there are numerous vendors selling exactly that: a DIN-rail mounted panel device which has Ethernet and HDMI port, which can display a generated HMI.
